Wicket

Hi Kerri, Wicket is using the pee pad now....no more
accidents on the floor. He peed when I took him outside also
YAH! He's doing good...except he won't come to us yet. He
will follow us...and when I pick him up he gives me kisses.
He played with his ball and squeaked it till he got tired.
All is going well.
1/25/12 Hi Kerri, You are very welcome and thank you for
sending him to us. I will send a pic soon. We are
waiting to groom him. I don't want to make him feel we
are leaving him yet. He is coming around. He put his
paws on the sofa yesterday to get up on it...and he
slept there for awhile.
He will be fine...he's a really good boy. No complaints
believe me. We love him. He will get a grooming soon
too. I will be in touch

Munchkin

Eileen w/Munchkin Brian w/Tyson
Hi Kerri! Not a great pic but I think you get the idea. They
love each other. We are having a problem with peeing in the
house but luckily she has not gone on carpet. No big deal we
will work it out. We really love her and they have had a great
day. My parents came and met her and are all set for tom.
Brian and I were impressed with all you do for Yorkies Inc.
Maybe in the future we could foster. Also we are going to
change her name to Lola. We are calling her munchkinlola now.
We didn't love the name and Brian was accidentally calling her
pumpkin:) at night she sleeps against him and I think she
likes him more than me:) which for Tyson is great.
Eileen
1/23/12 Hi Kerri, They did well with her yesterday. She is so
sweet and we are really enjoying her. She went potty twice
outside today but it was middle of the night I took them out
and first thing in the am. Tyson is getting jealous of her at
times with me giving her attention. We are also having a hard
time with her and the cats. She wants to chase them and barks
at them. I'm thinking we have a lot of work ahead with her.
She is obviously so worth it. They are terrific playmates and
watching them play I know we did the right thing. I know it
takes time. I have a friend who is a trainer and I think I'll
give her a call this week. She is a snuggle bug! We really
love her. Thanx again,
Eileen

Wiley

Oh my
goodness, Wiley is so funny. He LOOOOOVES to walk and we have
been on so many neighborhood walks. He sleeps in his bed which
is next to the crate. He doesn't bark much and is a little
skittish but is getting so much better. He tends to follow me
around and is so attentive. We have introduced him to a couple
friends and he is doing fine. I'm not sure if he really likes
the food in the baggies. The first time we fed him he ate it all
but yesterday he seemed to not want any. Today I gave him both
the baggie food and the merrick (just a little sprinkled in). I
really do not want to give him the canned food. Maybe tonight I
might try a tiny bit of yogurt mixed in to see if that will get
him interested. What do you think? I will agree with the foster
mom that Wiley is addicted to his Frisbee. He offers it to me
every morning and wants to play before I leave for work. Today I
have a half day/dentist so when I get back I'm sure it will be
play time. So all in all day 2 has gone great. I'm going to wait
to treat his nose and ears with the tea tree oil. I don't want
him to be afraid. He has come to me for neck rubs and back
scratches. Well off to the dentist for me. Wiley can now
recharge his little batteries for when I get back!!!!
Debbie
update 1/19/12:Thought I'd share our little adventure with
Wiley. He still has numerous walks around the neighborhood on a
daily basis. He loves his frisbee and now I think he has another
love....His living room bed. Last night while we were all
watching TV he came into the room and jumped into the comfy bed
with his snugglie. He is trying to make himself one of the
Fahey's. He still backs away when there is sudden movements
towards him. I tell people to just let him come to you on his
own so as not to frighten him. Today I got his car seat in the
mail and attached it to my Camry and off we went to Petco (where
the pets go, haha). Well he looked so content in the seat. At
first he stood in it then settled into a sitting position then
tried the lay down method. Too funny. Sitting won!!!! He saw a
dog on the sidewalk and barked (or squeak barked). Such a tough
guy. I'm wondering how he was with other dogs because on our
walks he appears to be frightened of dogs barking behind fences.
If we see a dog he wants to cross the street. I am having a
little trouble with his eating. He really doesn't show any
interest in eating the dry food from the baggie. I have
been steaming a baby carrot and chopping it into his food. I
guess he will eat when hungry enough. I will say I did end up
opening the canned and giving him 1 teaspoon and mixed it with
dry and he ate the whole 1/4 cup of dry. I'm guessing whoever
had him before must have given him wet/dry. Well I will still
attempt to give just dry and if desperate will give 1 tsp wet.
Fussy little one. All in all he is warming up a bit and look
forward to him wanting to spend time with each and every one of
us. I will be bringing him in on Monday for stitch removal.
Take care, Debbie Fahey
1/24/12:Cathie, Yesterday I went to the Mansfield animal hosp
with Wiley and had his stitches out. He did fine. He loves to go
in his car seat. It's so funny seeing him strapped in one
because he looks like he owns the road, especially with a small
snugglie tucked into the bottom so he is super comfy. We got him
the level one wee bits dog food and a small can of wellness dog
food to mix in. Little by little I am decreasing the can and it
is working I think. He is warming up to us and actually fell
asleep on my legs last night. He brought his toy into Chris to
play a few times. He really loves that frisbee. With the snow he
has been content to be in the back yard in the maze Chris
created or him. Today it's back to the sidewalk and a big walk.
I wish he would warm up to Lauren but she is leaving for school
Sunday so I told her in time he will be fine. He does love to
explore her room however!! So far so good. Will Keep you
updated.
Debbie
1/25/12:It's our feelings as a family that....Wiley has found a
home!!! He really is settling in little by little. Today we had
a busy day with car rides, visits to the pet shop and even
Dunkin Donuts to deliver Lauren lunch. He really travels well
and is actually getting better when "strangers" reach down to
greet him. He backs up but goes slowly to them. I think he is
fitting in just fine. Thanks so much for finding us this little
man :)

Lovey

Bob
w/ Lovey & Duke
The day I got her home, I
put her carrier in the kitchen, opened the door and she
immediately ran out and investigated the kitchen, then
returned to her carrier. She never came out again that night.
I put food & water in the front of her carrier and she ate &
drank. kept her in the kitchen over night- private and she was
safe. Duke came out a couple of times, sniffed and left. Still
no going outside to pee or poop. Then when I was at work
today, Bob was home with the 'kids', he called to say 'SHE
PEED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" He was so excited, I thought he had won
the lottery. He let Duke out after the rain waned and then he
put Lovey on her leash and she went out, searched the yard and
peed for the longest time- she must have the biggest bladder.
She
just went out again and peed for Bob. She has come out of her
carrier a couple times, when no one was looking but then
returns to her shelter I think it will take a while but we are
giving her time. She is not shaking just afraid and with Bob
being with her all day, she will eventually come out. Thought
you'd like to know
Susan
Update 1/16/12:Put Lovey's bed on the couch,
put her in the bed and she spent hours get petted, scratched
& loved. Took her outside in her new sweater, she peed and
ignored Duke, came in and immediately jumped onto the sofa
and climbed in her bed for more hours of loving. Then we ate
dinner, she ate her dinner & immediately jumped back up on
the sofa to snuggle with Bob. She is giving us both kisses
and when we stop petting, she hits our hand with her paw. I
think she is settled in!!! While I was watching the football
game yesterday, she ate my carrots I was nibbling on!! All
is well for Lovey Lewsen Dropping her off tomorrow at vet
for follow up.
Susan
1/21/12: Cathie,
You would not believe what
Lovey is doing now. This AM I was in the bathroom, getting
ready for the day, when she ran in the bathroom wining!
Bob had taken Duke outside to get the paper- it is their
morning ritual- Duke is allowed off leash at the
neighbors, then they come in. Lovey was upset because Bob
did not take her with him. He came in and she wagged her
tail so hard, I thought her bottom would fall off. She is
elated whenever anyone of us return from anywhere.
With all this snow, we have been letting
her out in the backyard off leash and she loves it. Duke
jumps right over her and she disappears in the snow. She
runs inside and jumps onto the sofa and rolls around in
her bed to dry off. She is also sleeping with us, not in
her bed- she snuggles next to Bob. She is truly at home
and we love it! Pictures to follow when I down load them
Susan
1/23/12: I
think she is afraid of being left alone. When I leave
the room, she follows me wherever, sees I'm still here
and returns to the living room. Bob said she does this
all day, just checking to make sure we are still here

Dancer

Tom w/ Reggie and Deana w/Dancer (Danny)
Hi Kerri, Danny is adjusting well and is coming out of his
shell. He is playing with Reggie. They have played tug of war,
and chase each other for toys. They have even wrestled a
bit... He made it through the night last night without any
accidents. I did get up at 3am and took him out to pee. We
took a walk this afternoon and he is doing very well on a
leash. He is very nervous in the car but that will come with
time. I really think things are going very well!!!
Deana
1/9/12 Hi Kerri, Yes, we have a friend that does grooming and
took him there. He is beautiful!!! We had a good night again
last night. We got up at 2:30 to go out and pee. I'm glad he's
telling us. He did end up snuggling in bed with me the rest of
the night! : ) He is starting to hold his own with Reggie.
Danny took a dish away from him and Reggie just kind of looked
at him and didn't try to get it away. Things are looking very
positive!! We'll keep in touch.
1/12/12 Hi Kerri, Just thought I would give you an update.
Everyday Danny and Reggie become better friends. Danny is
interacting and playing a lot more. He has even learned to
tease Reggie a bit! The 2 days I worked this week went very
well. No messes on the pee pad in the morning yesterday and
today the pad was dry all day!:) My mom is totally in love
with Danny! When I left this morning Danny and Reggie were
both in one bed together, so cute... I am off now for the next
6 days and am looking forward to being with them both and
really working on the potty thing. I think that's going to be
the challenge. I really think he and Reggie are adjusting well
and will let you know over the weekend what our final decision
is. I really feel now that he is a keeper!!! Do you have any
suggestions on how to slow Reggie down when he is eating. He
is inhaling his food thinking Danny is going to get it or he
wants to get Danny's. I have put them in separate rooms to eat
and that isn't even working. If you have any advise let me
know...We'll be in touch soon,
Deana
1/19/12: Hi Kerri, Just want to let you know how well
everything is going with Danny! He is just a love...He has
adjusted to our active lives and even enjoyed a trip to our
home in FL. We can tell he isn't used to being on the go like
Reggie but when he gets tired we just carry him. He did enjoy
walking on the beach and the warm weather. We just got back
late Tuesday night and he really is doing well with going
outside to pee. This morning he even did his poops outside!
Because of our little trip we haven't had him to have his vet
check, but we have an appointment on Monday. We absolutely
LOVE him! Thank you Yorkies Inc for the wonderful addiction to
our family!
Tom, Dean, and Reggie too!

Dasher
now Riley

Sue
w/Chloe left & Riley
Hi Kerri, Ride home was better
than expected. They both were very quiet and slept on and
off. Chloe is getting used to him. She has had a few
jealousy moments but this morning they have been playing in
the backyard having a ball. He's already peed and pooed
twice outside. ;) He's a doll and I hope he and Chloe become
best friends. It just may take a week or so. Thanks for
checking in. I'll send you a picture of the two of them when
I can get a good shot. Have a good weekend.
Sue
1/8/12
Hi There, I have been calling him Riley since i brought
him home. He's already responding to his name. They are
doing great. Chloe clearly wants to be the dominant one
but Riley is OK w/ it. The first night Riley kept waking
up but the past two nights they have both been sleeping
through the night (in the bed w/ me of course). Potty
training for Riley has been going well. He's only had two
accidents (and probably my fault). I attached a short
video of them playing the backyard. Right now they are
both sleeping next to each other on the couch :)
Thanks for checking in.

Molly

Gordon w/Jacob & Diane w/Molly
Hi Kerri, Just wanted to check in and let you know how Molly
is doing. She seems to be settling in nicely. She is already
making herself at home and following us around the house. Her
and Jacob are getting along great. They have been in the yard
several times today and have run and played each time. She has
peed several times and did a poop all outside. She hasn't
eaten a lot, which is probably normal. She did pick at her
food and took a few treats. She has been drinking plenty of
water though. Earlier she took a nice nap on the couch next to
me. Right now both her and Jacob are asleep on my husband's
lap. I was worried that he may get territorial or jealous but
when she went to go on his lap, Jacob just moved over and let
her find a spot. They act like they have always been together.
It
was nice to meet you all today. Thank you for the video and I
will let you know how she handles her first night.
Diane
Update: 1/8/12 Good evening! Thought you would like to
hear how Molly did her first night in her new home. We
turned in about 10:00 and after a few minutes of trying
to find her spot, she settled down and slept until 5am.
I took them out and she peed and then we went back to
bed until about 7am. Gordon took them out again and they
decided to turn it into playtime so we just had our
coffee out in the yard. She went for her first car ride
with us to get the paper and that went well. Jacob
usually gets a little egg in his food on Sunday's so we
gave her a little and she seemed to like it. She ate all
of her morning food and a good part of dinner. She did
one poop earlier but hasn't gone again. I am not to
concerned as long as she did at least one yesterday and
one today. It's been going really well and she seems to
be getting more comfortable with me and Gordon. As for
Jacob, it's like they have always been together. He has
totally accepted accepted her and didn't even mind when
she wanted to try his food. (while he was eating
it.) They played a lot again today both in the yard and
in our family room. She also even played with a couple
of toys on her own. She did have one accident in the
house and got scared but we just downplayed it and she
seemed ok. It was bound to happen and even Jake still
has an occasional mishap. We are just so thrilled at how
it is going. Molly really is a sweet little girl and we
have already fallen in love with her. Hope you have a
good night and we will be in touch soon.
Diane
